I am just sitting here shaking my head as I write this. The "panhandler" (her name is Jenny) was in the gazebo yesterday. This woman is delusional. She is living here through "Stonehenge" drug re-hab program so she is a recovering addict. (although I do believe she is clean) I am not putting her down because of this as I am an addict too. Last week she was mooching cigarettes and panhandling change. Yesterday she came into the gazebo showing off brand new Beats headphones which I may add cost a good hundred dollars if not two hundred. She was broke last week panhandling money but was able to BUY beats headphones. Then yesterday I went into the gazebo to find she was in there with her new puppy. This angers me. I don't want to sound like I am judging her. (But hey - at this point I am judging her) The reason I am bringing this all up is I am worried about that dog. This woman can't look after herself so how is she going to look after a puppy? While I was in the gazebo for less than an hour, she left twice, without the puppy, leaving US in the gazebo to look after it. We enjoyed it as - lets face it - it's a puppy. But it is an indicator of what is to come. She will be dumping this animal on others because she won't want the responsibility of walking and feeding, etc,... infact,... the whole time I was there she never once held or even looked at the dog. WE all did. And as I mentioned she left twice - no explanation - just left - and the people in the gazebo were left babysitting. And because she begs everyday,... she will not be able to afford dog food and will be mooching THAT now too,...I am soooooooo concerned for this animal. I am a deep animal lover. Infact I would much rather live in a world of animals with NO PEOPLE. My pets have kept me alive with their honest love and companioinship. So I can't stand to see an animal neglected or abused. Just look at the whole Darren Green war right now - it all started over him traumatizing his helpless cat. I don't care what people do to each other. But when you hurt or neglect an animal ~ YOUR GOING TO HEAR FROM ME. I watched Jenny the whole time she was in the gazebo with us and her dog and even though she talked about the puppy, she never once looked at it. This dog is a fad to her. She is going to be bored with this puppy the minute it chews something or poops on the floor. She is going to not want this puppy within a month. So I will be watching her and this puppy. If I hear she is neglecting it I WILL say something to her. My love for these helpless creatures is too great to sit back and watch her neglect this poor animal. SHE CAN'T EVEN BUDGET,... She complains she doesn't have any money for food!!! How is she going to afford dog food and vet bills? These people who buy animals on a whim infuriate me. People who get pets on a whim and don't even know how to look after them make me upset. If you dont' have enough money for YOURSELF and you have to beg and panhandle? YOU CAN'T AFFORD A DOG! And this poor puppy is going to suffer. It breaks my heart. The poor thing sat on someones lap and SHOOK uncontrollably the whole time I was in there. That poor, poor animal,...
Ok rant over. This animal lover had to get that off of my chest,...
