Hotel or Airbnb

 I have been on my laptop for the past hour trying to do my itinerary for my trip to BC.But I have discovered that travel is the spammiest thing to look for. I keep typing in PACKAGE DEALS for trip from Toronto to BC.You wouldn't think that was so hard to find. I was hoping for a package deal as travelling with a walker it might be easier (???). Anyway,... every site that popped up does not do package deals. It's all the trip advisory, etc,... and you have to plan your own itinerary and they are not packages. I have discovered that booking this tirp is going to be a nightmare.

I dont' trust any of these sites! They all offer budget trips that look way to good to be true so they probobly are. 

What I origianlly wanted to do was take a train across Canada. It's a 5 day - 4 night ride across all 5 provinces. But I soon discovered 2 things. One the sleeper train which I would definitely need is way too expensive. Then,... while reading through commnets I saw that a walker would not be ideal on a train. The aisles are too narrow and I would not be able to navagate around the train. So unfrotunately the train is now not an option. 

But I have done a lot of plane travel and I dont' really enjoy it anymore. Flying to BC would take 5 to 7 hours (depending on weather, winds, etc,..) So I thought I could find a package deal that included travel from fergus to toronto to the airport,... rides from the Vancouver airport to the hotel,... all the things that will make travel easier. But going on travel websites has proved to be a mess. It's all just prices of hotels and plane fares. And how do you TRUST these sites??? They don't look all that reputable,....

I'm wondering if it might be easier (safer?) to book through the airline itself. Atleast I know it's a legit company. I have not travelled in 25 years and I am seeing that things have definitely changed. I used to go with travel agents and book all inclusive trips. Packages. No hassle. But I can't even find any,...

So it looks like I will have to book everything myself. Hotel,... taxi's,... and it will cost a lot more doing it this way. 

But I will do this! I am determined. I keep saying I am a independent woman and now I have to draw on that. IMy last vacation I travelled to England alone and I really had a good time. So I CAN do this,... I am capable of doing this,... but I have seen that the planning is going to be so different now and I am worried about getting scammed or ripped off.

So may questions,.... is it better to go hotel or airbnb? Which airline is better to fly with? I used to know all these things. I have travelled the world in my earlier days. Canada,... the States,... Mexico,... Dominican Republic,... the united Kingdom,... so I do have experience travelling. But that was 25 YEARS AGO. Now I am frail and use a walker. This trip is not going to be easy. But I am determined and I will do it.

Any advice? Where to stay? How to travel? Know of any good places? I am so out of my depth here. Would it be easier to get a travel agent again or would that be too expensive? 

I just want to go to British Columbia. Where my father and my mother went to live and eventually died,..

I want to finally have a vacation after 25 years,....

And then I can end my life knowing I did what I wanted and needed to do and now I can rest,....

It's not going to be easy,... but I will get to BC
