I am loving the boardwalk here. Tonight I went back down there on my third walk today. Just as I was approaching it, I could hear a guitar. And sure enough, down on the beach a gentleman was sat on a log playing the guitar and singing. I introduced myself and asked if he would mind me standing there listening. He sang as well. Just then a homeless girl came along. She was wearing just a bathing suit top and leggings with bare feet. She asked me if I had any weed. (EVERYONE here smokes weed) I said I did, but it was back at my motel. The more I talked with her the more I felt bad for her. I told her if she walked up the street with me to my motel I could give her a few buds of weed. When she got here I gave her a pair of slides to keep. And an old sweatshirt I had but didn't wear much anymore. Then we walked back down to the beach. I tried video taping the guy singing but didn't want it to seem obvious so only got a little snip-it. But as usual, I don't think it uploaded on here. (top of this blog post) I tried but I don't think the video is working when you click on it. Disappointing because I would have loved to have let you hear him sing and play.
Everyone here seems to be so artistic. They remind me of hippies which is why I think I feel so at home here. I am a hippie. I am 61, smoke weed and promote peace, love and happiness. I think this is going to be my kind of place.
