I finally had a good day!

I have had a really bad week. I got the flu. So the past few days I have just been recouperating. But today I woke up better. My stomach wasn't a hundred percent but I felt good enough to get up today. Manchester United plays at 3 so I wanted to get up and so I could watch it. Today is also the day that Ontario Housing came to do their maintenance inspection. Infact they just left.

I have always thought I was blacklisted at head office as the woman who I have had to to deal with seems to be Tonya's friend. And as a result I have been threatened with eviciton. Today when housing came,... it wasn't her. It was head of maintenance and a NEW girl at head office. After they did their inspection they asked if there was anything bothering me. So I told them,... all about Tonya. And her witch hunt to get me evicted. And for the first time in 8 years of living here ~ they listened. I think because she is new. But I don't care. She listened. Because I don't smoke in my unit - I told her that any time she is in the building she can come and check my unit for smoking - unexpectedly. Even maintanence can stop in and check ANYTIME. She agreed she would. THAT will prove I don't smoke in my unit. So she believes me. I told her to have a good snoop around and look for any signs of smoking and she did. No smell,... nothing. I told her if Tonya complains one more time I will be evicted. She said NO YOU WON'T. We know now,...

Halle -fucking -lujah!!!   The threat of eviction is now lifted. 

And not only that,... they could see I was struggling. Poverty is hard to hide. They checked my fridge (to see if it was working well) and noticed I have nothing in it. She started asking all kinds of questions. I actually broke down and started to cry and told her all the issues I'm having. So she said she will see if she can send out someone from housing who works in the social department. I said absolutely I would take that help. They may not have the resources I need, but they may know where I can find them. So even though I was expecting the other woman to show up (I don't like) and was feeling really nervous. The visit ended up to be good. They said they can tell I take good care of my unit and they will see what they can do to help me with everything else.

New staff - new hope!!

And now,... my game has started. Manchester United v Nottingham Forest.
