I have just watched the movie "We Will Dance Again" Unfortunately I watch too much tv and I find that 90% of it is rubbish. But every now and again I come across something that is so profound it effects me deeply. Every Black Friday I splurge on streaming deals through Amazon Prime. I can't afford a lot of streaming sites so when I can pick up 7 or 8 new sites for under $3 each for the next two months I take advantage of this each and every year. It's like Christmas to me. So many NEW shows and series. Today I came across a documentary that not only left me unsettled but I found it disturbing.

I know in history every war that has ever been fought is horrific. Any soldier from either WWI or WWII will tell you evil exists on those battle fields and they endured the horrors. It's only with the introduction of the internet and social media in this millenium that the common man is now able to see the atrocities of these wars. It is so easy for people to watch the 5 minute clips on the news and sympathize. But noone actually sees the evil and depravity of humans until they see war right there on the street  infront of them. I have always been a history buff and enjoy war movies and docs. So I have seen a lot. But it hasn't been until this generation that anyone who owns a phone or a device can see and imagine what it would be like to be in the middle of the chaos. It is not only terrifying but it instantly gives you an understanding of war.

This doc in particular hit me so hard as the targets were young people. A music festival in Israel where my girls could have been or YOUR children could have been. A normal music festival. So it was easy to feel every parents nightmare who had children at this event. And the unfolding horror was real. You could almost smell the fear of these poor kids trying to outrun the HAMAS. Hundreds died and many others irrevocably damaged forever changing thier lives. This documantary brought you front row centre to a world of hate and evil you can't imagine unless you witness it.

Did we need to make such a documentary? It's very difficult to watch. It left me sobbing in some parts having to watch the depravity these terrorists showed for human life. And I think the answer is yes,.. I think everyone needs to see this documentary. We as the rest of the world cannot turn our heads and pretend this is not happening.

One thing I have been aware of for the past few months is we are in World War Three. It may not have been officially declared but it has started. And only yesterday Trump and Putin talking nuclear missiles. The world is changing. And it is falling,... if I think I am safe here tucked away in rural Canada I would be wrong. This war is coming to the States. Trumps arragance will see to that. And the US is our sister,... we will feel this war.

If you think you are ammune to it - tell that to the hundreds of the parents of the kids who were slaughtered by Hamas. Cheerfully waved their kids off telling them to have a good time. Never to see them again. not just slaughtered,... HUNTED,... kidnapped,... raped,... murdered,... it was horrific.

I have always thought that the internet and social media have always been a double edged sword. With all the good it brings,... there is hidden evil. I honestly believe that the internet and social media will be the downfall of this civilization. I am so glad I am at the end of my life and I won't be around much longer to see how this world ends up. But I do have children and a grandchild and I care what happens to them. I worry that life is going downhill. We will never see the times of my generation again. I call them the "Time of Innocence". Those times are definitely gone. And I worry for the greed and hate that the leaders of world countries show. They just want to win their war regardless of the blood shed to innocent men and women. But they should all be very careful what they wish for because noone wins in war. And this one is going to be nuclear. This one is going to be a new war noone has seen the likes of before.

And I for one am glad I wont be here when it all goes to shit. You see all those dystopian movies? "The Handmaids Tale" and the like? I would take these works of "fiction" and look at them as precautionary tales. our world is changing and NOT in a good way.

I long for the innocence of the 1970's,... it wasn't perfect but it's where I fit in the best. Peace,... nature,... love,.... wasn't such a bad existence. Now I just feel like the whole world has gone crazy. And in my humble opinion it all has to do with the world becoming at everyones finger tip through the internet.
