With all the commotion about the gossip down the hall I nearly forgot to write about my interview. A few weeks ago a reporter from the British publication "Daily Mail" got in touch with me. He had heard my interview with CBC radio awhile back and wanted to follow up with me about my feelings on MAiD's now. So yesterday he called and I did a phone interview which lasted about an hour with him. I talked about my life living in pain and why I was hoping to use MAiDs. But now that the criteria for it has been delayed, that option is no longer available to me. But there was a heavy accent on the poverty that I live. I sent him pictures and am now waiting to hear what becomes of it. It could be one of those things that never comes to fruition or it may actually get printed in a British newspaper. The Daily mail is based out of England but the reporter who did the article lives in NEW YORK. So this article could be INTERNATIONAL. The reason I accepted this interview was I wanted to blow the whistle to the rest of the world about people in Ontario, Canada who live and struggle in poverty. Unlike the media in Canada - where they won't touch ODSP or MAiDs in the media - New York will.
So,... fingers crossed,... the articles gets the green light and my story about poverty and fibromyalgia will get told on an INTERNATIONAL scale. My hope is someone out there will see the injustice from DOUG FORD and actually care and help. It's a pipe dream but change starts with a dream,....
